Join Us: Our London Family Community Memorial Walk - June 3, 2025

On June 3, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the London & Middlesex Local Immigration Partnership (LMLIP) and the Al-ghazali Centre invite you to join us for the annual "Our London Family" Community Memorial Walk at Canterbury Park.

VALLEYVIEW: If you are interested in attending this event as a group, please contact David J, davidjanzen51@sympatico.ca.  We will meet at the Canadian Tire parking lot on Hyde Park road at 5:45.

Why This Matters

Four years ago, our community experienced a devastating loss when a Muslim family became victims of an Islamophobic hate crime. This walk creates space for us to remember them, learn about the ongoing impact of Islamophobia, and take meaningful steps toward a more inclusive London.

What to Expect

  • A reflective walk through Canterbury Park
  • Thoughtful stations for sharing stories and memories
  • A community call to action against hate
  • A simple ribbon ceremony to symbolize our commitment
