In and Around Valleyview

CAUTION: Poison Ivy

Parents, please caution your children not to run through the gardens on Valleyview s property.  We recently identified a stray poison ivy plant by the hill garden. We will monitor the gardens closely this season. This is a great time to review with your children not to run through the gardens in general, to help avoid damaging the plant life.  If you see any concern on the property, please inform Helmut W or Heather in the office! office@valleyviewmc.ca

Join Us: Our London Family Community Memorial Walk - June 3, 2025

On June 3, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the London & Middlesex Local Immigration Partnership (LMLIP) and the Al-ghazali Centre invite you to join us for the annual "Our London Family" Community Memorial Walk at Canterbury Park.

VALLEYVIEW: If you are interested in attending this event as a group, please contact David J, davidjanzen51@sympatico.ca.  We will meet at the Canadian Tire parking lot on Hyde Park road at 5:45.

Why This Matters

Four years ago, our community experienced a devastating loss when a Muslim family became victims of an Islamophobic hate crime. This walk creates space for us to remember them, learn about the ongoing impact of Islamophobia, and take meaningful steps toward a more inclusive London.

What to Expect

  • A reflective walk through Canterbury Park
  • Thoughtful stations for sharing stories and memories
  • A community call to action against hate
  • A simple ribbon ceremony to symbolize our commitment
