Join us for a joyful service filled with Hosannas and children waving palm branches.

 

Families: Children are invited to participate in a procession to begin the worship service. Please arrive a few minutes early and have children remain in the upper foyer to receive a palm branch. They will join families in seats again after the procession.

Everyone is invited to attend our Annual General Meeting, members and participants! As a reminder, this meeting has a new format as we are combining the previous AGM and ABM meetings. We have a full agenda with Board and Church Council items. One particular item that we would like to highlight is the housing presentation! Please join us to learn more about an exciting opportunity with a partner organization. The Housing Group seeks the congregation's feedback on exploring this path further.

Enjoy breakfast and conversation prior to the Easter Worship service.

Please bring finger foods to share (muffins, Paska or other baked goods, cheese & crackers, fruit).

Coffee and juice will be provided.

Please remember to bring your own dishes for your family plates, cutlery, glasses/mugs.

Due to many scent allergies, please ensure floral arrangements do not include any other flowers.

Returning to the sanctuary as it was on Good Friday, we enter in quiet and darkness while waiting for the announcement of the empty tomb with Christ is Risen He is Risen Indeed.

In and Around Valleyview

 

Thank You note from Welcome Wednesday

On the bulletin board by the upstairs entry is a thank you note to Valleyview (VV) from Carol Langford, of Rowntree United (RU) Church s Board of Directors.  In the past, Agape Fellowship (AF) obtained an upright freezer to store donated meat for participants to purchase at a very low cost. Upon closing, they left this freezer for VV s use, but it has been sitting mostly empty. Welcome Wednesday (WW) has needed more space than their currently owned smaller chest freezer.  Lynne W suggested a swap - VV receiving the WW freezer and providing the larger upright freezer to RU.  With approval from both churches, the exchange was made in March.  The thank you note from RU was for this generous exchange.  

It feels like WW was being watched over by the universe s generosity.  About 1.5 weeks after the freezer exchange happened, WW received a donation of 6, frozen 20 lb. turkeys.  What a gift, and how wonderful to be able to accept this 120-pounds-of-great-meat contribution because we had the huge empty freezer to fill.  

Thank you VV from RU!!

MCC

Myanmar earthquake response
In the wake of the magnitude 7.7 earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28, MCC will be responding with local partners to provide cash assistance to pay for immediate medical needs, food and water. The situation is made even more challenging by ongoing conflict and civil war. The healthcare system has collapsed, roads are impassable, and electricity services are scarce.  Go to our website to donate today to provide relief to families in need.

Scent-Free Zone: Severe Scent Allergy

Valleyview is a scent-free zone as many participants have strong reactions to scented products. Please refrain from using all scented products: cologne, perfume, hairspray, hand and body lotion.

Some members in attendance experience serious peanut allergy. Please refrain from bringing, eating, or serving any food labelled as containing peanuts or with warning May contain peanuts .
