Fanshawe Park Worship Service & Picnic Lunch

There is no service at Valleyview today, or livestream of the park service.

 

Join us for our annual worship at Fanshawe Park Conservation Area (1424 Clarke Road, north of Huron St.) 

 

Service Highlights:  Milestone Comforter Presentation & Baptism of Evan B

 

Free Entry:

Do NOT pay at the entrance gate. Tell the attendant you are with Valleyview Mennonite Church, the park will bill the church.

 

We will meet at the Watson Porter Pavilion. Follow the signs - cross over the dam, past the Pioneer Village, and park in the lot (grassy area) to the left of the road before the entrance signs to the YMCA Children's Safety Village. The Watson Porter Pavilion will be on the right. Do not park along the driveway to the pavilion.

 

The Watson Porter Pavilion doors will open at 10am. Interior washrooms as well as the kitchen will not be available until then. Please wait to bring any food items into the pavilion until it is open.

10:15am:  Worship Service
11:30am:  Potluck Picnic Lunch
1:00pm:    Special Children's Activity 

Plan to stay for the afternoon, enjoying free time & fellowship!

 

What to Bring: 
-Lawn Chairs / Blankets 
-Food to Share (Peanut Free) for potluck style Picnic Lunch 
-Dishes, Cutlery, Cups or Water Bottles (Water Refill will be provided) 
-Outdoor games & activities for free time (frisbees, balls, lawn games...)
-Weather Appropriate Clothing, Sunscreen & Bug Spray

 

The Worship Service will begin at 10:15am with a prelude.

The Board is proud to announce that we have hired Valleyview member Helmut W, in a part-time capacity as Seasonal Landscaper. Helmut will look after our flower beds, trees and general beautification of the exterior grounds and building.

Silver Lake Mennonite Camp

Kitchener Day Camps – Join the fun at one of SLMC’s Kitchener day camps! Our program runs throughout July and August, giving campers ages 5-12 the opportunity to participate in crafts, nature, games, initiatives, and all the classic activities they experience at Silver Lake. Members in attendance experience a serious peanut allergy. Please refrain from bringing, eating, or serving any food labelled as containing peanuts or with warning “May contain peanuts”.
