disciples of Christ.
Come, let us worship God, made
known in Christ Jesus.

Discernment: Message from Council
Thank you to all who have volunteered for open positions so far. Our
nomination slate is nearly full thanks to your generosity. We are still seeking
people willing to serve as ushers or offering counters for the coming year.
We’d like to add 5 or more to the roster of each
position. The more people who are willing to volunteer in these roles, the less
of an individual commitment there is. The more the merrier!
Mike F is our head usher and can provide you with more information about
ushering.
Please speak with our Treasurer, John S, if you’d like more information
about offering counting.
Thank you for your consideration!

Masking Policy at Valleyview: Update April 16, 2023
Thank you to everyone for
wearing masks over these past few months after the provincial mandate was
lifted to ensure everyone was feeling safe in our church. The Board
and the COVID-19 Task Force have decided it is time to
remove our masking mandate.
This decision was made in
recognition of the changing nature of the COVID virus infections, spring/summer
weather approaching, social trends, and existing high
ceilings in the sanctuary. We have
consulted pastor Marv, several
senior members, and some clinicians in our congregation who
are all in support of this decision.
Please continue to wear a mask
if you feel more comfortable and remember to stay home if you are
not feeling well.
On behalf of the Board of
Directors and COVID-19 Task Force
Scent-Free Zone: Severe
Scent Allergy
Valleyview is a scent-free zone as many
participants have strong reactions to scented products. Please refrain from
using all scented products: cologne, perfume, hairspray, hand
and body lotion.
This Weekly
Update e-mail has been sent by the Church Office at Valleyview Mennonite Church
(an Ontario Corporation). To UNSUBSCRIBE from the Valleyview congregation email distribution
list, please email office@valleyviewmc.ca and request to be removed.
